#37: How to manage your financial wellbeing in a cost of living crisis

Jonathan Pittam & Conor O'Sullivan

I'm joined by Conor O'Sullivan to discuss today's topic

Conor O’Sullivan has worked in financial services in 2003 in several advisory and supervisory roles. He is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, putting him in the top 5% of qualified advisers in his profession. He founded O’Sullivan Financial Planning in 2017 and has advisers based around the country. Prior to this he spent a decade working for HSBC in a range of leadership roles including leading a Transformational Programme and developing their Premier & Wealth strategy in the UK, working with several HSBC markets across the world.

In addition to running his own business Conor holds a number of Non-Executive Director roles and is a School Governor.

Conor and I discuss the following, and much more:

What does 'inflation' really mean?
Bank of England base rates (How does it affect us?)
'Shrinkflation' (are we being ripped off?)
Values-based spending
Emotional spending
How to categorise your expenses
How to get more for your money
Do's & don'ts of debt
